Vegan Diet Turns Fat Dad Into Ultraman
As for how Roll went about his transformation, he says it took plenty of determination; but it began with food. After analyzing his diet, he determined that eating a vegan diet would be the healthiest route. So instead of pizza and burgers, Roll now eats fruits and vegetables; no meat, no cheese, no eggs or dairy. And despite how many calories he burns in his two-hour-a-day workouts, he says his vegan diet satisfies his body and is capable of powering him through his intense training sessions.
Roll credits his high performance and new vitality to his diet change, saying “I’ve never felt better. My body has never performed better as an athlete, as a father, and as a human being.”

Spring Green Juice
Speaking of greens, juicing is one of the easiest ways to get your daily dose. This is a pretty typical green juice recipe, but I really love the addition of cilantro in it.that sounds sooo yummyyy
beau TI FULL!
That falafel wrap is making me jealousssss.
Haha, I’m sorry m’dear; I can certainly understand why. The Penny does an excellent job on those, and other veg meals for that matter. I’m grateful that the place exists - there aren’t a whole lot of places with a decent veg or vegan offering in Southern Alberta (which I like to call “Canada’s Texas”). Here in Lethbridge, it’s either the few hipsteresque places downtown (the Penny Coffee House, Mocha Cabana, or the Owl Acoustic Lounge), vietnamese, middle eastern, or mexican. Oh, and the pita places or Wok Box, unfortunately my favourite wrap + rice box place closed down (only place I know of that served brown rice around here, other than the veg burger at Mocha Cabana).

French government outlaws vegetarian meals from schools
Every meal served at schools must contain animal products for nutritional purposes, according to the new law. The move has frustrated vegetarians, but one food blogger has mixed feelings.
From the comments:
“This is facism by the French government supporting their animal agriculture industry. Scary.”
Scary indeed.
“Today the word “veganism” is still used to refer either to the plant-based diet, or to a lifestyle that seeks to eliminate animal use entirely.”
Note: “seeks to eliminate…”

This summer I have only driven a handful of times since mid-June and I’ve walked more often than got a ride or taken transit (not counting trips out of town), so I’ve minimized consumption of oils, lubricants, and antifreeze. So, other than perhaps fertilizer for the plant foods I’ve consumed, on a regular basis (say, monthly or so), I only use half a dozen of these things - can you guess which?
